Continued Success
LINCOLN, AL – As the first member high school of the Eporro.com family in September 2008, Lincoln High School Principal Terry Roller is one of the most excited supporters of the new technology that Eporro, LLC has developed with NextSpex.com, along with the fact that Eporro is now partnering with the entire state of Alabama, via its partnership with the AHSAA’s Athletic Director’s and Coaches Association.
“I remember when Jim [Cavale] approached me regarding his vision for Eporro.com,” stated Roller. “The first thing that popped into my head was the fact that I wished I had something like this when I was coming up as a high school student-athlete.”
Roller has seen the Lincoln High School athletic program go thru plenty of ups and downs over the past few years. But the recent success of Jonathan George and now DJ Howard, signing National Letters of Intent with BCS schools like Kentucky and Clemson, has put Lincoln on the proverbial map.
With other kids at Lincoln getting opportunities at all levels, in several different sports, Roller is taking a proactive approach to athletics as a principal. "We have so much talent here at Lincoln but, at the same time, these are young kids who need guidance and development in all aspects of their lives to get the most out of themselves," said Roller.
While Roller is extremely proud of DJ Howard and Jonathan George's success, he also loves what NextSpex.com has done for a guy like Ferdie Miller, who ended up at the University of West Alabama much later in the 2009 recruiting year than most kids who sign on National Signing Day.
"NextSpex.com helped Ferdie do what I think most kids deserve no matter what; get a chance," exclaimed Roller. "With numerous student-athletes now participating at the next level, I'm excited about the next crop of kids coming thru here and the possibilities that NextSpex.com can provide for them as well."
